Meet Alexandria

Alexandria is a small business owner, retired NIKE sprinter, UT graduate, and a 21 year Austin resident who has spent more than a decade serving the community through neighborhood leadership, local boards, and City of Austin commissions. She has worked closely with residents in District 1 to address issues ranging from safe streets and affordable housing to access to basic city services.

Her leadership experience includes nine years as Chair and Vice Chair of the Martin Luther King Neighborhood Association, five years as co chair of the East MLK Contact Team, service on the Commission for Women, the African American Resource Advisory Commission, and the Joint Inclusion Commission, and managing a local arts nonprofit in East Austin.

“I’m running for City Council to bring practical problem solving, fiscal responsibility, and people centered leadership to City Hall and to help our city address the challenges created by past policy decisions with clarity and care.”
Real progress happens when community voices are heard, decisions are transparent, and trust is built through consistency. That is the standard I lead by.

Alexandria’s Commitment to District 1

District 1 deserves leadership that is present, accessible, and genuinely responsive. I am committed to fostering a City Hall culture that prioritizes residents over donors or special interests.
